Believe it or not, even someone as kind hearted and compassionate like the late Mother Theresa will have haters on social media.
Often, I see marketers get into scuffles with their haters.
The thing is you can’t please everybody.
Whereas if you were to be unapologetic about who you are and make a firm stand in what you believe. Your followers will probably respect and look up to you even more.
Now don’t get me wrong, hateful comments and criticism are totally different. We can build stronger brands with criticism but hateful comments are meant to bring you down. You’ll be able to tell.
Instead of taking it personally, think of it this way… The person spewing hate is probably coming from a bad place or emotionally unstable(going through hard times).
Think of it that way, you’l ignore it and move on.
Like the wise Dan Kennedy used to say : “If you haven’t offended someone by noon, you are not marketing hard enough.”
Do you think this is a good way to deal with haters? Let me know.
To your success!
